DAY 1 - Arrive Chennai

Capital of the south-eastern state of Tamil Nadu. Chennai is one of the four major metropolitan cities in India. Today, it is hard to believe that a place that was till 1639 just a small fishing village would become such an enormous and beautiful city On Arrival at Chennai airport , meet and assist and transfer to your Hotel . Later in the afternoon, proceed for half day city tour of Chennai. Visit 13 km long Marina Beach, St. George Fort, built in 1653 currently used as the state government’s secretariat, Santhome Cathedral built around 14th/15th century and the Kapaleshwar Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Fort Museum and National Art Gallery. Overnight at Hotel

DAY 2 - Chennai - Mahabalipuram ( 60 Kms 1hrs )

Breakfast at the hotel. Later check out and drive to Mahabalipuram Enroute visit Kanchipuram. 80 Kms 2 hrs drive from Chennai . Kanchipuram is dedicated to Lord Siva, Kailasanatha is one of the earliest temples. It was built by the Pallava king, Rayasimha, in the late 7th century, though its front was added later by his son, King Varman III. It is the only temple at Kanchi which isn't cluttered with the more recent additions of the Cholas and Vijayanagar rulers, and so reflects the freshness and simplicity of early Dravidian architecture. Fragments of the 8-th century murals which once graced the alcoves are a visible reminder of how magnificent the temple must have looked when it was first built. DAY 3 - Mahabalipuram - Pondicherry ( 110 Kms / 3 hrs )

After breakfast, drive to Pondicherry and on arrival check in at the hotel. Pondicherry, recently renamed as Puducherry, is a town tucked away on the Eastern seaboard of India. Among its diverse attractions are a coastline of 32 kms, palm-fringed beaches, backwaters, fishing villages. After noon depart for half day city tour of Pondicherry . visit the world famous Aurobindo Ashram - abode of the twentieth century saint and philosopher Sri Aurobindo which forms the nucleus of many activities and trade in Pondichery. Later, visit Auroville town - an oasis of peace and enlightenment designed by the French architect, Roger Anger. You would find the town living up to its designer's mission of making people realize the merits of human unity Evening take a walk through the beach. Overnight at Hotel

DAY 4 - Pondicherry – Kumbakonam ( 128 Kms / 3.5 hrs )

Depart from hotel after early breakfast and drive to Kumbakonam. Enroute visits temples of Chidambaram, “Gangaikonda Cholapuram”(famous Shiva temple) with its beautiful high towers full with many small sculptures depicting stories of old epics Darasuram “Darasuram” temple (built in memory of the White elephant - AIRAVATH from the gods family), the temple has its original name as "Airavatheshwar temple". Overnight at Hotel.

DAY 5 - Kumbakonam- Tanjore –Trichy (225 Kms ; 7 hrs )

After breakfast, proceed for half day city tour of Tanjore visiting Brahadeeswara Temple –Dedicated to Lord Siva in the form of Linga & The palace Museum and drive to Trichy . The city of Tiruchirappali, 50 Kms from Tanjore popularly known as Trichy. Trichy is situated on the banks of the Kaveri River. It has a history going back to centuries before the Christian era when it was a Chola citadel. Visit the Srirangam temple. Shrouded in a haze of coconut palms away to the north, Srirangam temple is one of the most interesting temple complexes in India. It is built on an island in the middle of Kaveri River covering a staggering 2 sq miles. This enormous temple has seven concentric walls and 21 towers or ‘gopuram’ surrounded by thick rampart walls covering the sanctum. DAY 6 - Trichy- Madurai (145 Kms ; 5 hrs )

After breakfast Trichy sightseeing The city of Tiruchirappali, 50 Kms from Tanjore popularly known as Trichy. Trichy is situated on the banks of the Kaveri River. It has a history going back to centuries before the Christian era when it was a Chola citadel. Visit the Srirangam temple. DAY 7 - At Madurai

After breakfast, proceed for half day sight seeing of Madurai . . Madurai is over 2500 years old and is the second largest city of Tamil Nadu. Ancient seat of learning, the city is planned in the shape of a lotus. Visit the famous Madurai Meenakshi Temple. There are four entrances to this amazing temple complex set in six hectares. ome of the stone pillars in the complex with any hard object and feel incredible on hearing seet metal sounds. It is know as musical pillars. The total number of pillars in the temple is a staggering one thousand. DAY 8 - Madurai - Thekkady (Periyar) (165 Kms ; 5 hrs )

After breakfast transfer to Thekkady, one of the best-known wild life Centers in India and spread across the entire district are picturesque with unending Chains of hills and spice-scented plantations. Evening spice Plantation visit. Optional Periyar Boat ride Overnight at Thekkady.

DAY 9 - At Thekkady

Morning go for periyar Boating through the sanctuary . The Periyar wild life sanctuary, the only one of such kind in India where one can have the experience of beholding wildlife at close quarters in natural habitat from the safety of a boat Boat ride at lake Periyar-to see the wild animals in its natural habitat. DAY 10 - Thekkady - Munnar (110 Kms ; 5.5 hrs )

After breakfast transfer to Munnar Munnar – “Nature lovers paradise” drive through the picturesque countryside of Munnar, a popular getaway retreat. Surrounded by lush green tea estates, this picturesque hill station boasts of exotic flora and fauna. On arrival check into your hotel. The Evening is at leisure to absorb the beauty of this hill station. DAY 11 - Munnar -Full day Sightseeing

After Breakfast visit Mattupetty located 13 km from Munnar is situated at a height of 1700 m, and is a delight for nature lovers ,One of the main attractions in Mattupetty is the beautiful lake, and the Mattupetty Dam. DAY 12 - Munnar – Kumarakom (45 Kms ; 1 hrs)

After breakfast drive to Kumarakom. The village of Kumarakom is a cluster of little islands on the Vembanad Lake, and is part of the Kuttanad region. The bird sanctuary here, which is spread across 14 acres is a favourite haunt of migratory birds and an ornithologist's paradise. Egrets, darters, herons, teals, waterfowls, cuckoo, wild duck and migratory birds like the Siberian Stork visit here in flocks and are a fascinate the visitors. After check in enjoy back waters of Kumarakom. Day at Leisure. Evening sunset cruise at Backwater Lake.

DAY 13 - Kumarakom - Alleppey (190 kms ; 4.5 hrs drive)

Check out from the hotel and transfer to Alleppey, House boat is a private boat with fully furnished spacious bath attached bed rooms, private balcony, dining room, hygiene kitchen and side decks to capture the beauty of the back waters for a 22 hour house boating through the legendary backwaters of Kerala . DAY 14 - Alleppey - Cochin (145 kms ; 4.5 hrs )

After noon Fort cochin sightseeing :- visit the Jewish Synagogue:- The Jewish Synagogue in the port city of Kochi is the oldest synagogue in all the Commonwealth of Nations , the Dutch Palace:- Built by the Portuguese in 1557 and presented to Raja Veera Kerala Varma of Kochi, the Palace was renovated in 1663 by the Dutch. It has has an exquisite collection of murals collectively covering over 300 sq. ft of its walls Also on display are royal paraphernalia like weapons, swings and furniture which offer a glimpse of the lifestyle of the royal family., Visit the St. Francis Church and the Chinese fishing nets. DAY 15 - Cochin Departure

After breakfast drive to Cochin International airport to connect onto your flight for home
